(Spring 2022) – Dispensers need to know the law, so they aren’t caught off guard by solutions claiming, ‘they do it all’. DSCSA solutions can help with compliance, they can provide the tools, they can work with trading partners and help with audits. The one thing a solution can’t provide is the human element of DSCSA. Dispensers must reconcile the electronic data with the physical product. This involves inspecting the product when it arrives and making sure the electronic data matches. Additionally, dispensers need to look at the product and verify it is serialized. Don’t be fooled by buying a subscription and thinking you are compliance. It takes a partnership approach and involvement by all partners.
